We are writing about a data security event involving Carruth Compliance Consulting (CCC) in December 2024. This company provides third-party administrative services for our 403(b) and 457(b) retirement savings plans. CCC recently reported that this incident may have affected some staff information.

Key highlights:

• CCC identified unauthorized access to their systems between December 19–26, 2024. During this time, specific files containing sensitive information were copied without authorization.
• The data potentially affected includes staff names, mailing addresses, and Social Security numbers.
• It includes monthly paycheck amounts and 403(b) and 457(b) contributions for all active employees and substitutes from February 2022 to November 2024.
• CCC has taken steps to secure its systems and to work with federal authorities, including the FBI. Through IDX, it offers free credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
